Hi! My name is Jodine Boothby and I am the founder of Gummee Ltd, UK baby teething product brand. Gummee originally launched as Gummee glove, when our first product launched. When my first born was only 9 weeks old, he was always chewing on his hand but could not hold a teething toy. After some initial research, I discovered that hand chewing was a common symptom of teething, and also just the start of baby discovering their own senses. It made sense to me to buy a mitten with teethers on it, and I was shocked to find they did not exist. The idea for Gummee glove was born and in March 2012, it became the World's very FIRST teething mitten designed solely for babies to wear. I needed a place to come and share idea's, stories about me and my family and how we run our business around our busy family life. Juggling a business with a family is hard work, and requires dedication and a lot of self motivation. We have really hard days, and really amazing days. We've seen a lot of success for our brand, and that hasn't happened out of luck. I'm using this blog to give you a deeper insight into the actual reality of starting a business like Gummee and running it from home and around family life.
